been explained or that you do not understand. |

Terms you should know: |
|
Address-is the “www” or “http” of each webpage |
|
Search-to look for; here you will type in words
of things you are looking for. |
|
Right click-press the right button of the mouse. |
|
Left click-Same as above, but Left! |
|
|
|
|
Internet Buttons: |
|
Back-to go back to the internet page you were
before. |
|
Forward-to go forward to the internet page you
were before. |
|
Stop-will stop the webpage from being shown on
the computer screen. |
|
|
|
|
Internet Buttons: |
|
Refresh-will restart the webpage if it doesn’t
show up all the way. |
|
Home-will take you to the webpage that is set as
“home” on that computer. |

Slide-each page on power point |

Graphics-pictures |
|
Title bar-at the top of a slide where you put
the title of the slide. |

Slide Sorter-here you can put your slides in a
different order. |

Insert-to put in; “insert a graphic” is to put a
picture into your slide. |

Slide Show-to show the finished Power Point
work. |

The Internet buttons to move back, forward,
stop, refresh (restart the page), and home. |
|
|
|
|
To find something on the Internet, type in what
you are looking for in this box. |
|
You MUST spell correctly!!! |
|
Click “Search” |
|
|
|
|
If you know the “address” of the webpage, type
it here. |
|
No mistakes here!! |
|
Click “Enter” |
|

|
|
After you find a picture that you want to use on
your PowerPoint presentation do this: |
|
Right Click on the picture. |
|
|
|
|
Drag down to “Save Picture As…” |
|
|
|
|
Look at the “Save In” box near the top. |
|
Change it to where ever you want to save the
picture |
|
|
|
|
|
|
To save it to your floppy diskette: |
|
Click the arrow on the Save In box. |
|
Drag down to “3 1/2 Floppy (A:)” |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Look at the “File Name” |
|
Change the name if you want to. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
To start Power Point. |
|
Click on PowerPoint |
|
|
|
|
Click on Blank Presentation |
|
Click OK |
|
|
|
|
Click on the type of slide you want. |
|
The one that is highlighted in blue has a title
bar, a box for text, and a box for a picture. |
|
Click OK |
|
|
|
|
This is the blank slide. |
|
Click the box that you want to fill. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
In the title bar, at the top, just type the
words you want to show. |
|
|
|
On this slide it is: PowerPoint Tutorial |

|
In the box on the left, type the words you want
to show. |
|
It should give information about the picture you
are going to have on the left box. |
|
|
|
|
In the box on the right you can insert a
picture. |
|
|
|
|
To insert a picture: |
|
Click INSERT at the top. |
|
Drag down to PICTURE and click. |
|
choose FROM FILE. |
|
|
|
|
Look at the “Look In” box near the top. |
|
Change it to where you saved your pictures if
you have to. |
|
|
|
|
Click on the name of the picture you want. |
|
You will see it on the right side. |
|
If it is the one you want, click Insert. |
|
|
|
|
The picture you chose will appear in the middle
of the slide. |
|
Click on it and drag it to the box on the right. |
|
|
|
|
To add new slides, go to Insert, drag down to
New Slide or Duplicate (a copy of the last slide). |
|
|
|
|
|
|
If you chose “New Slide” you will start with a
blank slide. |
|
If you choose “Duplicate”, you will just have to
make changes (words & pictures) on that slide. |
|
|
|
|
Don’t forget to SAVE after adding a slide!!!!! |
|
|
|
|
To show your presentation: |
|
Use PowerPoint buttons |
|
Put the arrow on the far right button and click. |
|
Or ---> |

To show your presentation: |
|
Click on Slide Show |
|
Drag to View Show |
|
|
|
|
To end the show at any time, press the Esc key
at the top left of the keyboard. |
|
|
|
|
Now you must make a PowerPoint presentation! |
|

|
Make a PowerPoint presentation about your
country. |
|
Use the Internet to get pictures |
|
|
|
|
|
|
You must have 10 slides |
|
Every slide must have picture and a description
of the following things: |

|
The Leader of your country |
|
The capital city of your country |
|
Famous places in your country |
|
People of your country |
|
The Food that people eat in your country |
|
Anything else you think is important to show
about your country |
