Leyden University

Over the last several years, Leyden District 212 has offered a variety of important staff development programs to faculty members. These programs have given Leyden faculty members the opportunity to stay current with the profession and to invigorate their teaching with top quality, research-based instructional techniques. Students are the greatest benefactors of staff development as they experience lessons which involve and motivate them to gain important knowledge and to acquire valuable skills.

Teachers who participate in Leyden staff development programs are eligible for Leyden Credit based on the number of clock hours of the program and successful completion of the course. These hours accumulate with regular university hours for advancement on the teachers' salary schedule. Based on the length of current staff development program offerings, approximately 15 hours of class time = 1 credit. Credit will be limited to Leyden Staff Development offerings. This credit is nontransferable to other institutions. NOTE: If you are currently in the recertification cycle, 1 Leyden Unit = 15 CPDU.

Please register early! Registration will close one week prior to a course starting. Minimum enrollments are required for courses to run.
