Underclass yearbook pictures will
be taken on Thursday and Friday, August 27 and 28 in the Field House during
Gym, Health, and Drivers' Ed classes.
Ask your teacher for the exact date and time of your photo. Students who do not have P.E., Health, or Dr.
Ed, should have their picture taken before or after school. Payment for photos is due on the day the
pictures are taken. Additional brochures
are available in the bookstore.

Have
you ever dreamt of performing in a high school play, or are you a seasoned
veteran of the stage? If so, now is your
chance to show your stuff! Be a part of
a madcap comedy about two sisters who murder old lonely men as an act of
charity or try out for a multi-ethnic 1970's pop musical about working men and
women in Chicago. Auditions for "Arsenic
and Old Lace" and Studs Terkel's "Working" will be held on: Monday, August 31, in West Leyden's
Auditorium from 3:30 till 5:30 and Tuesday September 1, in East Leyden's
Auditorium from 3:30 till 5:30. Audition packets can be picked up starting on
Thursday, August 27, in either East Leyden's Art Room (057) or West Leyden's
Choir Room. Take a chance and become a

ACTIVITIES
Please
attend our first meeting of the Leyden
Players on Thursday, August 27, during period 11 in the East Auditorium. Directors
for the fall play productions will be there to tell you about their auditions
and help get you prepared. Our Thespian troupe will also be on hand to give you
some pointers about Leyden theatre. This is a very important meeting whether
you're an actor type or a tech theatre kid. Come find out what Leyden theatre

Student Council! Student Council!! Student Council!!! Our very first meeting of the school year will
be this Thursday, August 27, 11th period in the Staff Cafe! If you want to host the Blood Drives, run
Junior Olympics, speak at the Exceptional Eagle Breakfasts, determine the
Spirit Days, run the Homecoming week festivities, and be eligible for a $500
college scholarship, come to our first meeting this Thursday! It's YOUR school! Join Student Council! – Mr. Mitchell (8/27)
All Summer School Marching Band and Color Guard
students are reminded class meets this Thursday, August 27, at 6:30 p.m., West
