Make a Difference Day 2019
Do you want to give back to the #leydenpride community and earn volunteer hours that count towards the Excellence Award? No is no better day than Make a Difference Day! Ideally, we want you to participate with your club or athletic team. Please check with your club sponsor or coach to see if they are participating. If they are not participating this year you can sign up as an individual student and participate in this awesome day.
On Saturday, October 19th at East Leyden we will be joining together as a school and community to blanket our towns with kind acts. Below is our schedule for the day.
7:30 & 8:00 AM optional bus from West Leyden Ent 12 to East Leyden
8:00 - 8:45 Pancake breakfast in East Leyden Cafeteria
9:00-11:00 SERVICE PROJECTS!!!
11:00-11:30 Return to East Leyden
11:30 - 12:00 Pizza in East Leyden Cafeteria
12:00 Optional Bus from East Leyden to West Leyden Ent 12
Individual Students are limited to on-campus projects including: Making Dog Toys, Making Cards for Hospitalized Kids, or Lions Club community Litter Clean Up
Rhodes School PTA Carnival
When: October 25, 2019
Time: 6:30pm - 9:00pm

What: Volunteers will help set up games, run the games and help clean up at the end of the evening.
Park District of Franklin Park Halloween Hoot
When: Thursday, October 31, 2019
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Where: Centre at North Park, 10040 Addison Street, Franklin Park, IL 60131
What: Volunteers will hand out candy and supervise various games, activities and crafts. They will need at least 5-10 volunteers

The City of Northlake's Boofest

Knights of Columbus Annual Fall Food Drive

What: The Knights of Columbus will meet at the Schiller Park Community Center, and then walk through the community collecting food donations from residents. There will be 2 hours of community service available each Saturday. November 9 - Volunteers will be assigned an area to distribute flyers. November 16 - Volunteers will work in teams to collect food donations. WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!
Food 4 Life and the Clothing Closet
When: Ongoing Saturdays

Students of Strength Needs Your Help

What: Students of Strength is looking for tutors to teach and mentor middle and high school students. We will be helping the student victims of hurricane Harvey, for both paid and volunteer positions. We want to help these kids get fully caught up, and we need your help before the beginning of the school year.
