As a school counselor, I work with students in grades 9-12 in a variety of ways such as academic concerns, scheduling, post-secondary planning and social emotional concerns just to highlight a few.  I consider myself the first contact for parents with questions or concerns. I also specialize in the areas of testing, the NCAA Clearinghouse for Division I or II athletes as well as Privately Placemed Students.  Any questions concerning these areas can be directed to me as well.

With a BS degree in both Education and Psychology from Coe College and a MA Degree from Eastern Illinois University in School Counseling, I started my career at Morton East High School. After working there for four years, I made my way to West Leyden.  I have been a school counselor at West Leyden since 2011. Currently I am also a Class Sponsor, Assistant Boys Swim Coach and Fern Award Sponsor and am also a  member of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling.
