Leyden's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) mission is to:
Gather information from stakeholders to make informed, data-based decisions to guide the MTSS process for students in need of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support.
We believe that:
- programs used for student interventions should be based upon sound research and provide documented evidence of their effectiveness.
- effective programs and interventions for students are built through research-based intervention programs and quality professional development.
- Data-based Decision Making is a key function in a school using MTSS and guides the work of all systems & structures toward building a culture of continuous improvement.
At Leyden we use a Tiered Indicator Key this citeria allows us to track students at each progress report.
