Bonjour et bienvenue! 

This year will be my 15th year teaching French and my 5th year at West Leyden. Before coming to Leyden, I taught all levels of French at Jefferson high school in Rockford for 10 years. I was born and raised in France and came to the United States in 1999. I have a passion for teaching and for sharing my culture and language with students. In my spare time, I love to cook, travel the world and discover other cultures. I have taken students to France several times. I took students on a tour around France in March 2018. In the summer of 2019, I took 12 students to my hometown on our first exchange with La Perverie. Last October, we welcomed 26 students from La Perverie on the exchange. We will be planning another trip to France as soon as it is safe to travel again, but in the meantime, we will keep in touch with our friends in La Perverie. This year will be different, but I look forward to helping each and every student virtually until we can be in person again. 

This year, I will be teaching French 1, 2, 3, 4 Honors and AP. I also sponsor the French Honor Society, French Club, Italian Honor Society and the Foreign exchange program at West Leyden.
