The benefits of the project at West Leyden include:

• An enhanced cafeteria allows for three lunch periods where lunches can be served efficiently. Students enjoy a welcoming space and access to support services. The expanded cafeteria space includes a versatile student commons area that is also connected to the courtyard. The commons is used during lunch periods and throughout the day.
  
  
• A more spacious and student-centered library overlooks the courtyard.
  
  
• Four new classrooms and four updated classrooms allow students to engage in interactive curriculum.
  
  
• A coffee shop area (Javaccino) integrated in the culinary pathway, provides students with relevant and meaningful experiences. An updated catering kitchen supports the Javaccino as well as the other classes in the culinary pathway.
  
  
• Enhance safety with an updated PA system.
