Greetings! My name is Katy Crihfield, and I have been teaching Physics (and sometimes Geology or Environmental Science) since 2008. Prior to teaching I was a helicopter pilot in the US Navy. I love being able to share my knowledge and experiences with high school students. In my free time, I'm working on getting my Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) rating in small airplanes at Chicago Executive Airport. I also enjoy gardening in my building's courtyards, taking care of my house plants and bonsai trees, taking my dog to the beach and park, and spending time with my family and friends.  I love to travel and have been fortunate to visit places such as Japan, Belize, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Australia.
