Seniors Plus & Tapestry
A joint graduation initiative between West 40 ISC#2, Triton and Leyden District 212
Seniors Plus allows students a second chance to obtain their high school diploma. Students from both East and West Leyden High Schools, aged 18-21, who did not earn their diploma may be eligible to participate in this program to complete required courses online through APEX Learning.
Enhancing Opportunities for Academic and Career Success: The Triton Pathway Program
The Triton Pathway Program (Seniors Plus) will now offer students the chance to complete their high school education at Triton Community College while simultaneously enrolling in a "career exploration" or "seminar" class. This unique opportunity allows students to earn credits from both high school and college, providing them with valuable skills, experiences, and a head start in their academic and professional journeys. This initiative aims to provide a seamless transition from graduation to college coursework, fostering academic and career success for our students.
Goal of Triton Pathway Program
-
Community Impact and Investment in the Future
-
Empowering students to earn their high school diploma alongside college classes, we are equipping them with the necessary tools to shape their personal and professional pathways.
-
Catering to the needs of students who faced challenges in completing high school but also addresses the increasing demand for a skilled and educated workforce within the Leyden and Triton communities.
-
Investing in our students' education and in the future prosperity of our local communities.
