Tapestry
Tapestry Program
Tapestry is a school based advocacy program that helps support at-risk students. The Tapestry program receives their referrals from counselors and social workers for students struggling in the areas of attendance, academics, behavior, and social emotional health. The Student Advocates provide mentorship, monitor student progress, and check in with each student on their caseload at least once a week. The Student Advocates also keep parents and guardians updated and connected with the Leyden community, as well as provide community resources and referrals when needed. Since the needs of students and their families change constantly, advocates are purposeful about updating and customizing their current practices.
