     Volunteers will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  Once filled, the form and/or contacts will stop accepting responses.

    It is VERY important that if you sign up for an event you honor your commitment and SHOW UP!

  • What:   Yuletide Dinner


    When:  Friday,  December 7, 2018  6:00pm - 9:00pm

               Saturday,  December 8, 2018   6:00pm - 9:00pm

                Sunday,  December 9, 2018   3:00pm - 6:00pm


    Where:   East Leyden Library, 3400 Rose St., Franklin Park


    Who:   Mr. Brownlee   pbrownlee@leyden212.org


    What:   Volunteers will be preparing food, setting up, serving the meal and tearing down after the Dinner. Volunteers must wear black pants and a white shirt.  Volunteers will get fed a meal.   Each day will count as 5 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS!

    REMEMBER: tell him you are a concert band/symphonic band/orchestra so we can give you extra credit

  • Franklin Park Polar Express Events


    When:  Saturday, December 1st  2:20pm - 5:00pm

                 Saturday, December 8th  4:15pm - 7:00pm

                Saturday, December 15th  2:20pm - 5:00pm


    Where: Franklin Park Train Station, 3148 Rose St., Franklin Park, IL 60131 

    Who/Contact:  Emma Eiden, eeiden@fpparks.org, or 847-451-8136 or 773-558-9532

    What: The Franklin Park Park District has 3 Polar Express events for the first 3 Saturdays in December.  Volunteers ride the "Polar Express" train from Franklin Park to Elgin, where we pick up Santa and he rides with the families on the train back to Franklin Park. Volunteers will sign in participants,  pass out cookies and milk, and help Santa to help keep the event running smoothly. WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!

  • Interfaith Outreach ~ Food 4 Life and the Clothing Closet are looking for Volunteers


    When: Ongoing Saturdays

    Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (or any time frame in between)

    Where: 2825 Hawthorne St (the little blue house)

    Help out at the Food 4 Life food pantry and Clothing Closet. Help guests with shopping needs or sort and hang clothing, various ‘jobs’ to do. Directly help those in our community and earn some service hours!

  • Students of Strength Needs Your Help

    What:  Students of Strength is looking for tutors to teach and mentor middle and high school students.  We will be helping the student victims of hurricane Harvey, for both paid and volunteer positions.  We want to help these kids get fully caught up, and we need your help before the beginning of the school year.  If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our tutoring team, fill out the interest form above.
