     Volunteers will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  Once filled, the form and/or contacts will stop accepting responses.

    It is VERY important that if you sign up for an event you honor your commitment and SHOW UP!

  • Fall Book Fair                                 Leaves

    What:   We need help with set up on Monday.  On Tuesday and Thursday, we need help guiding parents and children to find specific books. Helping to check out the parents purchases and helping to replenish the books on the shelves.  We will also need help to hand out the Affy Tapple's for parents who pre-purchased.

  • Make a Difference Day 2018

    When: Saturday, October 20th

    Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Where: West Leyden - 1000 N Wolf Rd. Northlake

    What: Do you know about Make a Difference Day, one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide? Keep the Leyden tradition alive, and volunteer! There will be over 30 projects right here in our own backyard. Please try to participate through a club or sport first.  If you are not in a club or sport yet (why not?!?) you can sign up below.

    • 8:00 - 8:45 Pancake breakfast in West Leyden Cafeteria
    • 9:00-11:00 SERVICE PROJECTS!!!

    • 11:30 - 12:00  Pizza in West Leyden Cafeteria
    • 12:00 Bus from West Leyden to East Leyden Ent 20

  • Village of River Grove's 

    Halloween Bash

    Trunk or Treat

     Park District of Franklin Park Halloween Hoot

    What:  Volunteers will hand out candy and supervise various games,  activities and crafts.  They will need at least 16 volunteers

    When:  Friday, November 2, 2018

    Time:  5:30-8:30 PM

    Where:  East Leyden High School Field House, 3400 Rose St. Franklin Park

    What:  Volunteers will be handling a number of areas, scoreboard, and concessions and more.  Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt.

  • Knights of Columbus Annual Fall Food Drive 


    When:  Saturday, November 11, 2018 & November 17, 2018 

    Time: 9:00 AM  Both Days (Arrive at 8:45am please)

    Where: Schiller Park Community Center, 4501 N. 25th Avenue

    Who/Contact: Wayne Bernacki  wmb16@sbcglobal.net

    What: The Knights of Columbus will meet at the Schiller Park Community Center, and then walk through the community collecting food donations from residents. There will be 2 hours of community service available each Saturday.   WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE YOUR HELP!

  • Interfaith Outreach ~ Food 4 Life and the Clothing Closet are looking for Volunteers


    When: Ongoing Saturdays

    Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (or any time frame in between)

    Help out at the Food 4 Life food pantry and Clothing Closet. Help guests with shopping needs or sort and hang clothing, various ‘jobs’ to do. Directly help those in our community and earn some service hours!

  • Students of Strength Needs Your Help

    What:  Students of Strength is looking for tutors to teach and mentor middle and high school students.  We will be helping the student victims of hurricane Harvey, for both paid and volunteer positions.  We want to help these kids get fully caught up, and we need your help before the beginning of the school year.  If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our tutoring team, fill out the interest form above.
