Welcome to my page! I am thrilled to be one of the Family and Consumer Science teachers at West Leyden!  Prior to teaching at Leyden, I taught middle school Culinary Arts and Sewing courses for six years. Currently, I am teaching various Culinary courses including: Catering, Gold & Bold Cafe, Pastry Chef and Cuisine Chef. I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and received my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL endorsement from Olivet Nazarene. If I am not cooking or traveling, I love to spend time with my husband and rescue pup named, Maybelline. I enjoy any moment that I get to spend with friends and family. I love learning about different cultures, foods and embracing the unfamiliar.  I am looking forward to sharing my passion for the culinary arts with my students!
