Welcome to our 2020 commencement ceremony page where you will find updates on this year's virtual graduation.

In light of Governor Pritzker's recent announcements of a phased plan to re-open Illinois amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made a decision  to hold a virtual graduation.  We understand that this cannot replicate a traditional in-person graduation, however, we remain committed to recognizing  and celebrating every graduating senior while ensuring the health and safety of the Leyden community.

The 2020 Virtual Graduations are scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2020  (East Leyden) and Wednesday, July 1, 2020 (West Leyden). The virtual graduations will closely follow our traditional program which includes student speeches, commencement remarks from the superintendent, Board of Education, and administration, and the readings of our graduates’ names. We are excited to announce that as part of this unique ceremony we will have a special guest speaker, former Chicago Bear great Charles “Peanut” Tillman!
