Mrs. Alicia Kadlitz
Welcome to my personal page! I have been teaching at West Leyden since 2004, in the Family and Consumer Science Department. I currently teach Child Development, Preschool, and Culinary Basics. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2004 with a major in Family and Consumer Science Education. I received my Master's Degree from Saint Xavier Univerity in 2009. I am the sponsor of the FCCLA club that is run through the FCS department.
I live in Schaumburg with my husband and 4 children. As a family, if we are not busy at home, you can find us enjoying the slow-paced "Lake Life" at my parent's cottage in Wisconsin. I love to boat, entertain, party plan, cook and most of all spend time with family and friends. I believe teaching is a calling and there is nothing I am more passionate about or love more than working with our students at Leyden. I strive to teach our students the life skills necessary to lead better lives, build strong families, be work/career ready, and be contributing members of the community.
