I started teaching at West Leyden in 2000 after graduating from the University of Illinois.  Over the years, I've taught freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and I currently teach English I Honors and English III American Studies.  I have also been a coach and a freshman advisor.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping my students reach their full potential; my belief is that education unlocks opportunity for all students.  I aim to keep my lessons relevant and to teach my students how to examine the world through a critical lens.
