I am currently a highly-qualified, tenured English/Literacy teacher working at Leyden High Schools District 212.  I hold a bachelor's degree in English Secondary Education and two masters' degrees.  My most recent master's degree, conferred in 2009, was in School Improvement Leadership with Type 75 certification. In 2006, I completed my Reading Specialist degree with Type 10 certification. Over the past few years, I have furthered my knowledge of pedagogical leadership through becoming a Literacy and Technology Liaison for the district.  Additionally, I have aided the district by coaching other departments on how to implement best literacy and technology practices within their classrooms during in-service and institute days. In addition, I helped create curriculum for Leyden's Literacy and English Departments. I am also an Assitant Boys' Gymnastics Coach, and a registered certified official in the sport of Boys' Gymnastics.
