I started teaching at Leyden in 2000. I like to joke that I "got it right the first time" as I began here in the fall following my graduation from college. In my time here, I've taught most of the different levels of English, but I'm particularly invested in the journalism program. I am the adviser to the East Leyden student-run news organization: The Eagle's Eye. I also serve as the chairperson for the English department.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, especially when that time is on the highway headed to a national park. I hope to spend a night in each of the 50 states before I'm 50. I also love coaching my daughter and son in their youth sports and any form of outdoor recreation.
