›Welcome to my class. I am looking forward to getting to know you and work together with you to advance your skills.

›I have been teaching for almost 20 years. I was the Gold Star Award Finalist for Outstanding Teaching while in Iowa and the Most Inspirational Teacher Award from Western Illinois University while teaching at Leyden. I also graduated from high school in 3 ½ years. I graduated on a Friday, took the ACT on a Saturday, and started college on a Monday.  After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, I started teaching at Central Alternative School in Iowa.  I first taught at Central Middle School when I came to Illinois.  I have been happily teaching at East Leyden High School since 1998. I look forward to working with you this year!!!
