I have been teaching in special education since 2008. I taught for five years at Lincoln-Way West High School, and I have been at Leyden since 2014. I am currently a Special Education Department Chair at the West campus.

I received my bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While working in commercial real estate upon graduation, I tutored for the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program, and realized I wanted to become a teacher. I received a master's in special education from Roosevelt University and a master's in principal preparation from Concordia University.
