Welcome to my webpage! This is my sixth year as a co-chair and a teacher for the Special Education Department for Leyden High School District 212.  During my 18 years in the world of education, I have taught English I, English II, English III, English IV and Consumer Education. In addition, I taught a class called Transitions that focused on planning for the work world, post secondary school and life outside of high school.  I have also worked as a work program coordinator for 11th and 12th graders.  I am currently teaching in our Transition Program at West Leyden High School. 

Not only do I love teaching, but I also love learning! I enjoy attending educational conferences, learning from my colleagues and taking graduate courses. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Special Education. I also earned a masters degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Special Education with a focus on curriculum adaptations. Most recently, I completed my degree in Educational Leadership with the Principalship Endorsement. 

I am beyond fortunate to work with amazing teachers in the Special Education Department. They are the hardest working people I have ever met and I am proud to work with each and every one of them.
