• La Société Honoraire de français (French Honor Society) is a national organization whose purpose is to recognize outstanding and highly motivated students of French language and cultures.  Its mission is to help members deepen their knowledge of French language and Francophone cultures through extra-curricular meetings and field trips.

  • Students who have maintained an "A" average in French and a "B" average in all of their high school courses may be invited to join the Société Honoraire de français during their fourth semester of French. They apply to join and attend a spring induction ceremony.

  • The Société Honoraraire de français/FHS meets weekly on Tuesdays in Room 223 from 3:00 to 3:25pm.  Additionally, we take field trips to French restaurants, the Chicago International Film festival and the Chicago Art Institute.
