• La Società Onoraria Italica (Italian Honor Society) is a national organization whose purpose is to recognize outstanding and highly motivated students of Italian language and culture. Its mission is to help members deepen their knowledge of Italian language and culture through extra-curricular meetings and field trips.

  • Students who have maintained an "A" average in Italian and a "B" average in all of the their high school courses may be invited to join the Società Onoraria Italica (SOI) during their fourth semester of Italian. The induction ceremony is typically held in January.

  • La Società Onoraria Italiana (SOI) meets every other Monday in Room 114 from 3:00 to 3:25 PM. Additionally, we take field trips to Italian restaurants, the Chicago International Film festival and other places that have connections to Italian culture.
