Leyden boasts several jazz ensembles that serve many students of varying age, ability, and experience levels. Meeting seasonally after school, the Jazz Bands perform a wide variety of musical styles.  In addition to performing a feature concert in the spring, the Jazz Bands also appear at band concerts and community events.  Additionally, Leyden Jazz Bands have participated in the University of Illinois' Invitational Jazz Day, the Naperville Big Band Jazz Festival, and have received "Superior" ratings at the IHSA Organizational State Music Contest.
