  • Grace Church - Schiller Park

    When:  February 9, 2018; March 9, 2018 and March 30, 2019

Time:  8:00am - 4:00pm. Please come when you can, all day or just a few hours, one day or all three days.

    What:

February 9, 2019 - The goal is to get all the sanctuary walls ready for painting.  This will include taking care of where there used to be wallpaper as well as a few cracks and a bunch of holes in the walls.  We are especially looking for a few folks who are experienced in drywall patching/mudding work.  But the rest of us can also sand and take care of the wallpaper areas.

March 9, 2019 - The goal today is to paint the walls of the sanctuary. The walls will already be prepped, so it will be a full day of painting.  Ideally we are looking for some people with painting experience who will be carefull and clean as they paint, but all are welcome to come and help.

March 30,2019 - The goal today is to put the finishing touches on the Sanctuary after it has been prepped and painted. Some of the walls or trim may need an extra coat of paint as well as putting the space back together.  This will also be a day of Spring cleaning. We have a few places left that could use some organizing folks to go through and sort and toss.  You know who you are!

The Church is looking for Volunteers for either or all of the Saturdays. Any or all of the hours between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Any time you can volunteer will be much appreciated.
