IMPORTANT UPDATE: On Tuesday, March 24, 2020 Leyden High School District 212 was notified that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.

For precautionary purposes only, starting Monday, March 16 the Leyden schools will be closed and all classes will be conducted via E-Learning through Friday, March 27.

Spring Break is March 30-April 3 and regular school days are anticipated to resume on Monday, April 6.

Extended E-Learning Days Schedule

Monday, March 16

  • Students will participate in an all-school lesson that will be posted in their Period 2 Schoology courses.
  • Students must fill out the attendance form in their Period 2 Schoology course to be counted present for the day.

Tuesday, March 17

  • All classes will engage in E-Learning lessons and activities.
  • Students should open the E-Learning folders in each of their Schoology courses and participate in the lessons and activities.
  • Students must fill out the attendance form in their Period 2 Schoology course to be counted present for the day.

Wednesday, March 18 - Friday, March 27

  • Classes will alternate their E-Learning lessons and activites according to the following schedule:

    A Block
    (March 18, 20, 24, 26)

    B Block
    (March 19, 23, 25, 27)

    Period 2

    Period 4/5 or 4/6

    Period 6/7 or 6/8

    Period 10

     

    Period 1

    Period 3

    Period 5/6, 5/7

    Period 7/8

    Period 9

  • Students should open the E-Learning folders in their Schoology courses and participate in the lessons and activities.
  • Students must fill out the attendance form in their Period 2 Schoology course EVERY DAY to be counted present for each day.

March 30 - April 3

  • Spring Break - No classes or E-Learning activities

 


Technology Support

Students that are in need of technology support during E-Learning days can do one of the following to open a support ticket:

  • Send an email to studenttechsupport@leyden212.org with a description of the technology problem
  • Call (847) 451-5591 and leave their name, ID number, and a description of the technology problem
  • If a ticket results in the need for hardware support, an appointment can be made to drop off your Chromebook and check out a loaner.

Free Meals

Leyden will offer free daily pre-packaged lunches, as well as breakfasts for the following morning, to all community members 18 years and younger.

Meals will be distributed every weekday from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.

Families are welcome to pick up the meals from any location.
