Jane Guill is a published author. Her first novel, Nectar from a Stone, was published in 2005 by Simon and Schuster and is now on thousands of library shelves in the United States! Jane published dozens of short stories in literary magazines. She received two Illinois Arts Council Awards for prose and has been nominated three times for the Pushcart Prize. Jane attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and went on to work as a graphic artist, then as an archaeological illustrator. Eventually she changed her creative focus from art to writing. Jane is a member of the International Women’s Writing Guild, the Authors Guild, and the Historical Novelists Society. Her message to Leyden students, “The future isn’t as remote as you may think; it’s just ahead like an oasis—but it’s real.”
