COSTA RICA TRIP
Dear Leyden Parents, We have an exciting trip that goes from June 4 through June 11, 2020, to Costa Rica. This summer Leyden students get to go to a rainforest paradise for 7 days. We have a set itinerary, kayaking, optional surfing and a coffee plantation tour in store. The student does not have to have a Spanish class, just the desire to visit one of the happiest countries in the world. Please email rdrobny@leyden.212.org or mmartinez@leyden212.org with any questions or concerns. Have a Leyden Pride day.

ANNUAL MUSIC OF THE HOLIDAYS CONCERT
The music department's 25th annual Music of the Holidays Concert is on Wednesday, December 11, at 7 p.m. in the West Leyden auditorium. Hundreds of dedicated music students will perform seasonal favorites, to include the "Hallelujah Chorus." Please join us for Leyden’s annual tradition of ringing in the holidays...and it's free. Ho, Ho, Ho!

A PAIR OF CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Leyden Theatre Proudly Presents "A Pair of Christmas Carols," The Timeless Christmas told in two very different ways. Act 1 a children's' musical "A Christmas Carol in HogPatch Holler" with music and lyrics by Mark A. Pence This family-friendly show brings everyone's favorite storybook characters to life as they revel in holiday cheer, goodwill and tell the story in a way everyone can understand.

Act 2 A Christmas Carol in 9 Staves is a more traditional telling of the story in which the three spirits of Christmas visit the miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve and whisk him away on a journey through memories of his past and glimpses of his future. In one haunted evening, Scrooge sees the error of his ways and repents just in time for a glorious Christmas morning.

Each performance promises a visit and picture with a very special Leyden Santa as well as a Cookies and Milk intermission.
